How to Help Google started

As an AdSense sponsoring web site, your goal is to contextually relevant ads displayed when a visitor comes to your site. This is the goal, and it sounds simple, but sometimes it seems that Google is determined not to cooperate with you in a row.

If there are times when your website shows apparently random ads which are not relevant to your site at all, or worse, it is the view of non-revenue Public Service Ads (PSA's), it means that you need to work with Google its mean.

Google uses a very effective artificial intelligence (AI) tools to sniff the content on your site so it can serve the most relevant ads from the extensive list. However, given the fact that no person involved in this process, it is very easy for the poor spider is a bad way.

It is not enough just depending on your site the right keywords to pull Google ads, you must keep an eye on the context in which the keywords are used and whether you might have some surprises.

For example, suppose you have some text on the page that reads: "I love Guns' n Roses". There is a chance that you end with the PSA, because "Guns" is a known Google "stop" word that leads to PSAs or ads 1-800-Flowers thanks to the key word "Roses". But if you edit your content easy to read something like "I love heavy metal and hard rock bands like Guns' n Roses", then you start pulling ads that match your site theme.

The words "heavy metal" and "Hard Rock" are called supporting keywords. Their role is to help define the context of the actual keyword is used in.

When Google spiders are fed both supporting and actual keywords are better able to achieve good decisions about your account.

The position of your keywords, also plays a role in attracting the right ads. Words closer to the top of the page have more weight than those which appear further down. Tags are also important.

And brands have a higher priority than

tags and labels are equally important.

The key to obtaining the right ads on your site is fine-tuning for your brand keywords and tweaking until you see what you want to see.
