If you are a corporate refugee like me, you are too familiar with the standard 7 to 9 leave you in the course of the year. But did you know that there are one thousand public holidays during the year, people celebrate? For example, you know that September is "People Skills", "Healthy Aging" and "The shameless promotion of months?" October is "Eat Better Eat Together Month." One of personal favorites is "Bubble Gum Day" in February!
What does this mean for entrepreneurs? Good!
The handy guide in almost all libraries across the country called Chase calendar of events. This is the official reference source for national celebrations and the various observances throughout the year. You can also order on-line, if you want to www.chases.com.
I like to encourage their clients to look through this reference guide and find the holiday or two, which can be used to promote their business. For example, in December is "National Identity Theft months."
One of my clients sold to protect against identity theft, so it is currently developing a promotional program, such as direct mail campaign, or maybe even a party to celebrate! It will also create a press release to let the media, how to celebrate, and how the public can use.
And then my colleague, communication coach Felecia Slattery, who celebrated "National Communication Month" in June creates a fantastic online discounts that increase its visibility in its business and its strategic partners before 10,000 people in their target market just a month!
Ideas that you can make is unlimited. Here are just a few ideas for you to consider for you to find a holiday that relate to your business:
* Create a month-long festival: the sale, a percentage off, plus a bonus per month, etc. Keep one-day celebration: open house, free balloons to a friend and receive a gift, etc.
* Submit a press release about what do to celebrate a partnership with another company, which created a single party, and thus to introduce your business to each other lists
* If you write articles, or publish Ezine, you can use different themes for the holidays as the article.
For example, in April is Stress Awareness Month. "For the fitness or nutrition expert and life coach, this is gold! Pick funky holiday to celebrate during the year, and create customer touch points around them. For example: National Day is" you can send your best customers and business partners, and $ 5 gift certificate your favorite is creamy and say: "Here is a SCOOP ... Thank you for your business!" (See if you can get a local dairy to allocate costs w / you for advertising opportunities!) for "Bubble Gum Day" - Send Package wood or gum and say, "chew on this" and a special offer.
How to celebrate a holiday, is limited to your imagination! Have fun deciding which vacation or holiday to celebrate and create your own unique marketing program, "wows" your customers and prospects.
